Funds transfer fraud is on the rise. We do not generally transact business using wire transfers. If you receive an e-mail or other communication that appears to come from us requesting payment by wire transfer, please phone us immediately at our telephone number(s) as registered with the Law Society of Ontario. We will never ask clients to make payments by wire transfer or other electronic means of transfer. If you receive such a request which appears to come from our office, it is fraudulent. Similarly, we will never email anyone with a request to change or update any banking or transfer information. If you receive any such request which appears to come from us, it is fraudulent.
